New York State Police troopers were dispatched to a stretch of I-684 at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, where there was a report of a motor vehicle crash that left property damage in Harrison.
According to police, the investigation at the scene of the crash determined that 30-year-old Eduardo Jimenez of Bridgeport was operating this vehicle while intoxicated by alcohol at the time of the crash. Further investigation determined that Jimenez was allegedly in possession of 32 grams of cocaine, more than $3,5000 cash and several grams of marijuana.
Jimenez was arrested at the scene and charged with a felony count of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. He was also cited for unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
Following arraignment, Jimenez was remanded to the Westchester County Jail without bail. He is due back in the Town of Rye Brook Court on Tuesday to answer the charges.
